Andalusia gay travel

While this simple portrait might be outdated, stereotypical and overly romantic, it does carry an element of truth. Andalucía, despite creeping modernization, remains a spirited and passionate place where the atmosphere sneaks up and envelops you when you least expect it – perhaps as you’re crammed into a buzzing tapas bar or lost in the depths of a flamenco performance.

Andalusia is a land of rich culture, deep history, vibrant fiestas, breath-taking natural landscapes, and exquisite cuisine. Here, you’ll discover a diverse range of experiences, from magnificent monuments to an array of stunning natural settings. Andalusia boasts a myriad of flavors just waiting to be savored. From the world-renowned sherries of Jerez (Cadiz) and Montilla–Moriles (Cordoba) to the classic platters of freshly fried fish, known as “pescaíto frito,” in Cadiz and Malaga, as well as the flavorful cured ham from Huelva and Cordoba, the rich olive oils, and many more culinary delights.

Our tour includes four nights based in Seville, one of the world’s most historic cities and four nights in beautiful Malaga, the gateway to Granada and beyond. Our bases will allow you to see the most important sites of the region and still relax and unpack.

Seville
Seville welcomes you with elegance, offering hidden treasures and a diverse range of attractions. The city exudes a zest for life from every corner, and its infectious energy is truly captivating. Stunning parks, an unparalleled riverside promenade ideal for leisurely strolls, charming squares perfect for relaxation and daydreaming, and magnificent palaces and churches are sure to enchant you.

For a late lunch experience, we’ll be dining at the Michelin-starred restaurant Ispal, led by the award-winning chef Antonio Bort. Chef Bort is dedicated to utilizing local products and champions the “KM 0” concept—cuisine crafted with 100% Sevillian ingredients.

Cordoba, Spain gay tour

Day 3 - Sunday, October 5, 2025
Seville / Cordoba
After indulging in your included breakfast, we embark on an exciting excursion to Córdoba!

As we journey to Córdoba, you’ll traverse the fertile Guadalquivir landscape, treating yourself to one of the most beautiful views of the Córdoba region. Once in Córdoba, our local guide will lead you through the enchanting monuments of the old town. The architecture, representing various cultures such as Byzantine, Westgothen, Moorish, and Jewish, showcases the flourishing of different eras.

Relish a local lunch experience at Bodegas Campos, an emblematic restaurant situated in the old Arab quarter. Built in 1908 on the ruins of an old monastery, this restaurant comprises a cluster of historic houses with beautiful courtyards adorned with flowers from different periods. The collection of wine barrels, signed by notable public figures, is as impressive as the séparées on the first floor, narrating the tales of famous Andalusian poets, bullfighters, and bull breeders. At the table, be sure not to miss the local specialties: “Ajoblanco,” a cold almond soup with garlic and grapes or apples, and “Rabo de Toro,” oxtail braised in Montilla wine.

Following lunch, we journey back to Seville for an evening at Casa Aníbal, a culinary gem set in a unique and magical space—a historical building from 1914 designed by the renowned regionalist architect Aníbal González. Nestled in the heart of Seville, Casa Aníbal offers a contemporary perspective on the past, presenting traditional cuisine infused with avant-garde touches. It’s a reinterpretation of Seville’s history and art, blending haute cuisine with charm and simplicity.

Cadiz, Spain gay tour

Day 4 - Monday, October 6, 2025
Seville / Cádiz
After a delightful breakfast, we set out to explore Cadiz, a city founded almost 3,000 years ago and standing as one of the oldest cities in Western Europe. Nestled on a peninsula surrounded by water, Cadiz boasts ancient 18th-century walls, including the Landward Gate. The central quarter of Cadiz is renowned for its picturesque charm, with buildings reflecting the city’s rich overseas connections. Highlights include the Cathedral and churches of Santa Cruz and San Felipe Neri, the site where, in defiance of Napoleon’s siege, the provisional government established its liberal Constitution.

For lunch, we have two enticing options:

Option 1: “Balandro”
Indulge in a delightful lunch at “Balandro,” a traditional restaurant evolving daily to offer the best of Mediterranean cuisine. Known for its constant pursuit of quality and perfection, “Balandro” has earned recognition as one of the key gastronomic establishments in Cadiz. Don’t miss the culinary specialty of “pescaito frito” (assorted fish), freshly served from the sea.

or

Option 2: “El Faro de Cádiz”
Situated in the traditional Viña quarter, “El Faro de Cádiz” began as a small naval-style tavern offering various fresh fish dishes, notably the famous fried fish. Over time, its popularity grew, leading to expansions.

Tonight, we have two exceptional dining options:

Option 1: “El Pintón”
Dine at “El Pintón,” where a wide variety of excellent food spans from traditional to ultra-modern plates. The charming atmosphere will make you feel at home from the moment you enter.

or

Option 2: “Robles Placentines”
Located near the breathtaking Cathedral in the prestigious Santa Cruz Quarter, “Robles Placentines” offers a cosy, traditional atmosphere and an exquisite selection of tapas and typical Andalusian dishes accompanied by wines from its selected cellar. Recognized as the “best restaurant in Spain” in 2006, its rustic, Jerez wine cellar-style decor creates a welcoming ambiance, perfect for enjoying an authentic meal.

Ronda, Spain gay tour

Day 5 - Tuesday, October 7, 2025
Seville / Ronda / Málaga
After a delightful breakfast at the hotel and check-out, join us for an enriching tour of Ronda as we make our way to Malaga.

Ronda, a city with an unparalleled historical background, invites you to explore its old town layout, traditional manor houses, and historic monuments that narrate tales of civilizations, bandits, and bullfighters from the 17th century. Upon arrival, a guided tour will lead you to some of the most iconic sites in this historic town, including the bullring (the cradle of modern bullfighting), the Puente Nuevo (connecting the two ends of the famous gorge), Sta. Maria la Mayor, the Casa de Don Bosco (manor house), and the charming streets of the old town.

Following the tour, indulge in an Olive Oil tasting and lunch at LA Organic—a project dedicated to 100% organic olive oil production, embracing the culture and gastronomy associated with it. Supervised by Philippe Starck, a globally influential designer and architect, the architectural work combines an eventful journey around olive oil with elements of abstract art. The 26-hectare estate is divided into different areas, each with its unique design and personality, creating a truly distinctive experience. During a guided tour through the picturesque olive groves, the Almazara offers insights into the harvest, production, and packaging of olive oil, complemented by works of art by Philippe Starck adorning the entire route.

Malaga, Andalusia gay tour

Day 6 - Wednesday, October 8, 2025
Malaga
After a delightful breakfast, immerse yourself in the cultural richness of Málaga, the captivating capital of the Costa del Sol, known for its tremendous historical and artistic allure. Unlike some other cities, Málaga remains a hidden gem, unspoiled by excessive tourism. Did you know that Málaga is the birthplace of Pablo Picasso, the most famous painter of the 20th century?

Explore the city’s charm with numerous small shops and boutiques, creating a shopper’s paradise. The streets are lined with inviting bars and cafés, tempting you to savor a “Café con leche,” a glass of Malaga’s typical wine, or indulge in delicious tapas. Immerse yourself in the Mediterranean flair of this vibrant city!

Embark on a half-day gastronomic tour, allowing you to experience Málaga through its flavors and aromas. The journey includes stops at the Atarazanas Market, Casa Aranda, and the dried fruit shops in the city center. A highlight of the tour is indulging in one of the most typical ways locals enjoy their meals—a round of tapas!

For lunch, savor the culinary delights at Bodega “El Pimpi.” This authentic and unique establishment holds a fascinating history, once serving as an enormous wine cellar and later transforming into a hospital during the civil war. Now a cozy bar-restaurant, “El Pimpi” offers local delicacies, outstanding wine, including the well-known “vino dulce” (a regional dessert wine). Admire the pictures of celebrities gracing the bar and spot Malaga’s native film star Antonio Banderas’ signed barrel.

Tonight’s dinner awaits at Batik Restaurant, situated on the 4th floor of a central hostel. Here, you’ll experience diverse kitchens, from traditional Málaga cuisine to unusual and modern dishes. Delight in carefully prepared, delicious dishes with a variety of nuances, colors, flavors, and textures, all while enjoying breathtaking views of the Alcazaba city fortress and the Roman theater.

Granada, Spain gay tour

Day 7 - Thursday, October 9, 2025
Malaga / Granada
After breakfast at the hotel, we embark on a captivating tour of the Alhambra, Granada’s globally acclaimed castle complex—one of Spain’s most remarkable monuments. Enclosing several square kilometers of meticulously manicured gardens, the layers of walled fortifications include the Alcazaba, the oldest part of the Alhambra, offering stunning views of the Albaycín quarter, Sacromonte, and the snow-covered peaks of the Sierra Nevada.

The tour’s highlight is the Palacio Nazaríes (Palace of the Nazaríes), a breathtaking 14th-century residence showcasing countless chambers and corridors adorned with painted tiles, inlaid ceilings, intricate inscriptions, elaborate carvings, and glittering pools. The eastern end of the Alhambra fortifications leads to a footbridge connecting to the terraced gardens of the Generalife on the neighboring hillside. The modest Summer Palace, surrounded by lush gardens, features oleander and roses, cascading fountains, and neatly clipped cypress hedges.

Lunch is served at Parador de Granada, an ancient 15th-century monastery adjacent to the Generalife gardens, offering magnificent views of the Alhambra. Its interiors seamlessly blend Arabic and Christian influences, providing a top-notch Andalusian culinary experience with dishes like homemade Tortilla Española or Gazpacho Andaluz.

Finca La Fresneda
Inside the Natural Park of the Malaga Mountains, a visit to a rural farm that once harvested grapes awaits. Enjoy a wine tasting featuring Malaga wines paired with the city’s finest cheeses. The tasting includes four wines—two whites and two reds from the mountains of Malaga—explained by a sommelier. Indulge in four types of cheeses from Andalucia. This experience delves into the culture of wine, covering cultivation and harvesting. Optionally, relish a BBQ-style lunch or traditional paella and engage in an activity to create your own wine.

Mijas, Spain gay tour

Day 8 - Friday, October 10, 2025
Malaga / Mijas
Following breakfast, embark on an exploration of Mijas, a collection of white villages nestled in the mountains of the Costa del Sol, providing a charming glimpse into rural Andalusia. Just a short distance from Malaga, this village seems to have preserved a bygone era, offering a serene and traditional atmosphere that makes it well worth a visit.

A stroll through its lively streets unveils a typically Andalusian town rich in history and adorned with charming architecture. Key monuments such as the quadrangular exterior of the bullring, the XVII-century sanctuary of the Virgen de la Peña, and the XVI-century church of la Concepción stand as testament to Mijas’ historical significance. Take time to visit the Auditorium, stroll along the Wall, and explore the gardens and balconies offering exceptional views of the Costa del Sol.

Explore the souvenir shops to uncover Mijas’ hidden treasures or find a quiet spot to relax and absorb the unique atmosphere.

For lunch, savor a delightful meal at “El Mirlo Blanco,” a restaurant situated in the heart of the white village of Mijas. Owned by the Spanish Auzmendi family for 40 years, the restaurant is housed in one of the typical white houses, featuring two dining areas and a terrace with beautiful views over Mijas.

Upon returning to Malaga, enjoy a traditional Spanish dinner with a glass of fine wine in the cozy atmosphere of Restaurant Los Patios de Beatas. Established in 2012, this vinoteca is located in the heart of the historic center of Málaga, just 50 meters from the Picasso Museum. The owner, an experienced wine connoisseur, offers a unique atmosphere across 800 square meters and two levels in different areas, presenting the best of Spanish and Andalusian gastronomy.

As today marks the end of the tour, en-route to Malaga, indulge in a traditional Spanish fish lunch in the seaside resort of Nerja. Afterward, partake in a city tour of Malaga.
